Why does Ghost QR need camera access?

Camera access is required to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes! Ghost QR works 100% offline. All features including scanning, generating QR codes, and viewing history work without any internet connection. The app makes zero network requests.

What types of codes can Ghost QR scan?

Ghost QR supports QR codes, Aztec codes, Data Matrix, PDF417, and all common barcode formats including EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, and ITF-14.

Where is my scan history stored?

Your scan history is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to any server or synced to iCloud. You can clear your history at any time from the app settings.

How do I clear my scan history?

Open Ghost QR, go to Settings, and tap 'Clear History'. This will permanently delete all saved scans from your device. This action cannot be undone.

Why can't I scan a QR code?

Make sure the QR code is well-lit and in focus. Try moving closer or further from the code. If scanning in low light, tap the flashlight button to enable the torch. Damaged or low-quality codes may not scan properly.
